Wanted: Rugby League fans interested in preserving the heritage of the sport

Are you interested in the heritage of Rugby League and do you have an hour and a half to spare at 5.30pm on 26th February 2013 ?Rugby_League__Huddersfield_v_Castleford_1935005

We are looking for a group of people to help us to develop plan for the new archive centre which houses the Rugby Football League Archive at the University of Huddersfield. This group would have a unique opportunity to look at archives dating from the start of the sport in 1895. The archives include:

  • Original minute books of the league
  • Registration and disciplinary records of RFL players
  • Records of referees committees
  • Records of tours to and from Great Britain
  • Donations of boots, shirts, rugby balls and trophies from ex-players

We have limited capacity for this event so please contact Kathryn at khinchliff81@hotmail.com or ring 07832 966394 by 22nd February to book your place.

If you are interested in getting involved we would love to see you on 26th February at 5.30pm
