These special sessions, just for music researchers, make it easier to browse the 60,000+ scores and recordings in our archive.

For the March 2020 edition, we’ll be getting out material related to amazing female composers of the 20th Century, such as Phyllis Tate and Elizabeth Maconchy.

There’s free tea and coffee and dedicated research support and expedited archival retrieval and you’ll get the chance to meet and exchange ideas with other researchers. There’ll also be a free tour of our strongrooms so you can go behind the scenes.

There’s no need to book, just turn up on the day.

If you want to get an idea of what we’ve got, you can search our collection by clicking on the Archives tab at the top and searching with BMC in the “Ref no” field or take a look at Sound and Music’s website https://britishmusiccollection.org.uk/
