England Netball Archive Launch – 2nd March 2019 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm on 02/03/2019

Join us in Heritage Quay at 1.30pm for the official launch of the England Netball archive as the newest addition to our Sports collections.

England Netball, the public face of the All England Netball Association, traces its formation back to 1926. The archive is the result of a Heritage Lottery Grant for England Netball’s 90th year, and offers a fascinating insight into the development of Netball. It is no coincidence that the 1st World Tournament was held in England in 1963, and has spread to over 70 countries.

The archive provides an unique history of Netball through a wide and expanding range of documents, photographs, programmes, magazines, press cuttings, uniforms, rules trophies, oral histories, etc.

Join the President of England Netball, along with other Netball and University dignitaries, in viewing a selection of material from the Archives and meeting others with a research interest in the History of Netball, before the archive is launched to the public.
