British Music Collection Study Day 10:00 am - 4:00 pm on 05/04/2019

Come and explore the British Music Collection in a new way

These special sessions, just for music researchers, make it easier to browse the 60,000+ scores and recordings in our archive.

There’s free tea and coffee and dedicated research support and expedited archival retrieval and you’ll get the chance to meet and exchange ideas with other researchers. During the day there’ll also be a free tour of our strongrooms so you can go behind the scenes

We are delighted to announce that the day will feature a guest speaker, Professor Richard Steinitz, founder of the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. Richard will speak at 12:00 about the Festival’s archive and its potential for future research.

There’s no need to book, just turn up on the day

If you want to get an idea of what we’ve got, you can search our collection by clicking on the Archives tab at the top and searching with BMC in the “Ref no” field or take a look at Sound and Music’s website https://britishmusiccollection.org.uk/
