Records relating to the working lives of Hopkinsons staff. These include a large set of photographs of staff at both business and social events. Also includes health and welfare records, including accident reports, trade union records and a set of the company magazine, 'Firm Friends'. There are training records, a small staff professional library and records of social clubs inlcuding the operatic section and sports clubs.
Staff photographs Series
c1941-2002Photographs of Hopkinsons staff taken during the mid-late 20th century. This series includes photographs of Hopkinsons staff at work, portait photographs taken by the company for staff management purposes, and photographs of staff at social events.
Staff wage records Series
1967-1995Hopkinsons Ltd accounts and reports detailing employee wages. This series is incomplete with only three items surviving in the company archives, these items cover the years 1967-1978 and 1994-1995.

Trade union records Series
1950-1980This series contains records of the meetings of shop stewards from both unions active within Hopkinsons Ltd., the manual union and the Amalgamated Union of Engineering Workers (Technical and Supervisory Section) AUEW TSS. It also contains a series of working papers and files for both unions. A detailed guide to these records was produced by West Yorkshire Archive Service in the 1980s, and is available to view in the searchroom (stored in box with HOP/HR/4/1).
Trade union records are subject to protection under the Data Protection Act, and therefore some records may be redacted or closed to readers, unless a Subject Access Request is made.
