Records created by the Huddersfield Labour Party in the course of its activities in promoting the support and election of Labour Party candidates for local and parliamentary elections in the Huddersfield area.

The collection includes the core administrative records of meeting minutes, annual reports, constitution and rules records, financial accounts, membership records, marketing records, correspondence and working papers. There is also a significant amount of material that relates specifically to the Party's work and activities while contesting elections (particularly General Elections) in the Huddersfield area.

There are also significant sections of records that relate to the Huddersfield Labour Party's business with Kirklees Labour Group and Kirklees Metropolitan Council.

Also two exhibition boards, one of Denis Healey and John Harman playing the piano on Mandela Corner, Huddersfield during the 1987 General Election Campaign and one of Keir Hardie with children of the Huddersfield Socialist Sunday School in 1906[Local History Exhibition at the University of Huddersfield, 2006]
