Dated 1976-1982

Extent: 1 Folder

Correspondence 1976-1982 that concerns complaints to news outlets regarding alleged false information or miscommunications on behalf of the editors with corresponding evidence as well as official press releases to news outlets. One issue regards the length that a Liberal candidate for Hunslet in 1976 was part of the Labour party, and the other regards the apparently false information that Leeds Labour Councillor chief whip, Jack Pritchard, was censured at a meeting for backing Dennis Healey in a deputy leadership battle in 1981. Includes correspondence from Labour Party Leeds Secretary, Harry Swain.
