Score: Songs of Sundrie Kindes BMC/Tate/1/1/22

Dated 1976

Extent: 1 item

There is a published copy of Songs of Sundrie Kindes, published by Oxford University Press. The copy contains markings in the music, and also a personal note to Tate in the cover signed from Carl (presumably Carl Shavitz, the lute player it was written for). Shavitz has included an article about the Festival of Perth published in The Weekend Australian February 1983, which mentions the piece being performed for the 80th time. Shavitz has corrected the article, which identifies that the piece had been performed 86 times by Easter Sunday 1983. Shavitz has the original manuscript in his personal posession. Written for tenor and lute.
